Himalayan Blue Granite is an exciting, heavily veined, multi-coloured granite extremely popular in Europe, quarried near Koppal, Kuknur, Karnataka State. It is not from the Himalaya region. It is frost resistant.
A grey to black migmatite of the Precambrian period with pink to grey veining intermingled with grey quartz. A clear epoxy resin filler may be used to give a smooth surface touch on work surfaces.
Slabs, tiles, prefabricated countertops/worktops, vanities, backsplashes, paving.
Polished, honed, leather/satin, river-washed/antique, thermal/flamed, flamed & brushed, water-jet, bush-hammered, sandblast and sawn finish.
It is possible that a sealant can be used on Himalayan Blue Granite, test first with a small sample.
